Well, I just came back from speaking at XTech 2006. The location is pretty cool. A bit posh though; € 3,50 for a small glass of orange juice? Also, the WiFi network seemed to work only for one out of ten visitors. I was surprised by the number of speakers that actually needed a connection for their presentation!
My presentation went OK, I think. I had some good feedback about it and some critical questions, indicating that some people were actually paying attention. I guess I might have to thank the failing network for that. Otherwise people would just have been blogging or chatting all day, like last year. I was nervous as hell, though. What's up with that? I just started and rambled on for forty minutes, losing all intended structure in the process. Oh, well, at least I had a good time!
There were requests to make the slides available. That will happen somewhere this week.
